Linen is a versatile material for clothing and home decor. Our heavyweight weave has a thicker yarn that gives it character, but retains the dense weave and pleasant feel of a classic medium weight linen. This fabric works well in skirts, trousers, and jackets, as well as for curtains and pillowcases. The fabric is strong, sturdy, and quite stiff (not a good match for flowing garments), while airy, smooth, and pleasant to the touch. At home in modern fashions, linen also works well in period costumes and accessories.
Linen will shrink, so it’s essential to wash it before cutting. To prevent fading, dyed linens should not be dried in direct sunlight. Please double check the weight you have selected for our heavy linens before ordering; we have various kinds.

Care: Wash dyed linens at 40°C; white and natural linens can be laundered at 60°C. Iron on the highest setting; may also be steamed. If machine drying, use a short, gentle cycle.
