Reference : 101-61-0037

Matka is an interesting rare find among silk fabrics. It is usually handwoven and its yarns are obtained by spinning from the waste of mulberry silk.

It has knobby linen structure, from here its other common name “silk linen”. This fabric is softened and therefore soft to touch, it drapes well and is very comfortable to wear. For its interesting structure and light shimmer, it is suitable for those who want to take advantage of silk properties yet keep a casual look. It is also an excellent fabric for interior designers for upholstery and drapery.
