Our cashmere scarves are made of high quality fleece acquired by brushing from cashmere goats. We buy them directly from a family farm in the Himalayas in Kashmir, where this traditional material gets its name.

Many cashmere scarves and sweaters on the market today are produced using poorer quality material such as cut fleece, which contains both fine and rough hairs, so the resulting yarn is not as soft and may have the itch of ordinary wool. Brushing the fine undercoat at the neck of the goat yields the very softest material, but a single animal produces no more than 500 grams every year. This is reflected in the price of genuine cashmere, but the reward is unbeatable softness and warmth.

This scarf has a fine diamond weave. Thanks to its generous proportions (70 x 200 cm, like most pashminas) you can wear it around your neck as a scarf or over your shoulders as a shawl. We also offer wool silk scarves that provide a similar level of softness.

Care: Cashmere scarves may be hand washed. Cashmere does not like sudden changes in temperature; use lukewarm water (max 30°C) and a delicate detergent for woolens and handle gently. Do not wring your scarf dry; roll it in a towel and then let it dry flat. Do not iron; hang while still slightly damp to allow wrinkles to fall out.
